As the warm golden rays highlight the red tones of the landscape, you’ll head south through open savanna woodlands on your way to the mighty Adelaide River Floodplain.
Stop over at Fogg Dam where the diverse habitats of monsoonal forest, wetland and floodplain combine to provide the perfect place to observe the Top Ends unique wildlife.
With over 230 different species of birds recorded in this region you are bound to find a favourite.
Here also begin your bushcraft journey of discovery by learning some of the bush foods and medicine plants of the Top End amidst nature at its finest.
Pause for a simple home prepared snack for breakfast.
From here it is a short distance to Adelaide River. Here we enjoy nature as it was meant to be seen on a relaxed 3 hour private cruise. Snakes, crocodiles and more are regular features on this journey as we traverse a large section of this untamed iconic river.
Enjoy lunch on the river before returning to shore. Venture then to the coast to explore the ominous yet essential mangrove system protecting our shoreline.
Tour will finish around 430 pm.
